MPR Shout-out & MCTC One Read

mpr news

An MPR News segment this morning discussed the ongoing issue of race and representation in children’s book publishing.

The fantastic Dr. Sarah Park Dahlen, one of the architects of recently released Lee and Low study of publishers, was one of the respondents, as was 2016 Newberry Award winner Matt de la Pena.

A listener called in at the end of the segment to recommend my book — whoever you are, I am blowing you kisses from the other side of this laptop screen.
