  1. Dear Shannon:
I tried to use the email address here and it kept bouncing back so, I used your comment box!

Perhaps you’ve heard the buzz that Books for Breakfast is coming back!
With Vicki and Steve Palmquist’s blessings, we have set the date for
Saturday, February 13th in NE Minneapolis.

First, let us introduce ourselves. We are two Library Media Specialists who
have felt the loss of the annual breakfast:

Sally Mays, currently an LMS for the Osseo schools, at Garden City
Elementary school with over 15 years of igniting the passion of young
readers. As an ITEM past president, I know the key
factor in reading is the school librarians, the LMS.

Mary Kunesh-Podein, currently a LMS at Robbinsdale Middle School after 20
years as an elementary LMS. I’m an original from Gertie Geck’s very first
    gathering in St. Cloud!

Just as Gertie knew, the heart of this breakfast are the authors and
illustrators and we just couldn’t do this Books for Breakfast without YOU!
We would like to invite you to be one of our featured speakers. Following
tradition, we’d love you to address the gathering; sharing your past and
present projects in conjunction with hosting a table of like-minded
    children’s book lovers.

Can we count on you to commit to join us on:

    Saturday, February 13th,

9:00 AM – noon in NE Minneapolis?

We would love to hear from you by December 15th so that we can confirm
our line-up. Please feel free to contact us with any questions, we look
forward to hearing from you. Please RSVP to

    Sally Mays

    Mary Kunesh-Podein
